Can I furnish my whole house from the re-use shops?

I was pondering the other day about the variety and amount of stuff that comes through our re-use shops and wondered - do you think it's possible to furnish your entire house with stuff saved from landfill? Imagine having a completely empty house, limited budget and a desire to buy things with a bit of life. What would you need? Sofas - tick. Dining table, chairs, TV, cutlery, microwave, books, shelves, ornaments, lamps, beds, pictures, a mirror - tick! I reckon it's possible. Now who's up for the challenge?
