Photographic Competition.

Bringing you Action 21's very first photography exhibition!

Thank you to everyone who sent in pictures for the Re-use photographic competition. Some of the pictures might inspire your artistic side.

The Recycle Warehouse has lots of customers who are artists looking for source materials. Graham Church, Shop Manager told me “One customer bought all of the sports equipment and another collected tea trolleys. They used them for art installations. People are always buying our crockery to use on mosaics.“

Anne Goodwin, Shop Volunteer collected wine stoppers. She then hung them upside down in her window creating pretty light reflectors.

I like to think many a dumped toilet is now bursting with flowers in someone’s garden and can visualise a row of them, filled with spring daffodils, as looking positively alternative.

It’s not what things are made for it is what they are used for that counts. We all need to find an outlet for creative expression and what better way to create a treasure than with another persons junk.

The exhibition is being held at the Clarence Suite, Oddfellows Hall, Leamington Spa between 7pm and 10pm. All photographs will be framed and on sale during the evening and tea, coffee and snacks will be available. For more information email eleanor@action21.co.uk or call 01926 456076
